CKP Invests ฿681 million to increase the shareholding in Nam Ngum 2 Hydroelectric Power Plant (NN2) to 46%

CK Power Public Company Limited (CKP) informed the grant approval for the additional invest in Nam Ngum 2 Power Company Limited (NN2). The company agreed to purchase the shares from the SouthEast Asia Energy Limited (SEAN) from PT Holding Limited (PTH) in the amount of 35,236,000 shares or 5.33 percent of SEAN’s registered capital with the total value of THB 681,464,240.

Due to SEAN is the subsidiary engaging in the core business and the major shareholder of NNS which produces and distributes electricity from the Nam Ngum 2 Hydroelectric Power Plant. The execution of the transaction with PTH would cause a change in the company share shareholding percentage in its subsidiary engaging in the core business. In this case, after purchasing the shares, the shareholding percentage in SEAN would increase from 56% to 61.33% of the SEAN’s registered capital and the investment percentage in NN2 increase from 42% to 46% of NN2’s registered capital.

CKP expects that all of the agreement will be completed within June 2019. The company believes that increasing the shareholding percentage in NN2 would help increase the value and stability of the constant return rate of the Company in the long run.
