“Prasert” and “Poramaporn” Resign from BDMS on the Accusation of BA’s Shares Manipulation

Mr. Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth and Ms. Poramaporn Prasarttong-Osoth have resigned from their positions in BSMS to prove their innocence in this matter through the justice system on the accusation of BA's shares manipulation.


Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS) has referred to the news release issued via website of the Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on January 18, 2019, with respect to the civil sanction imposed against Mr. Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth, M.D. and Ms. Poramaporn Prasarttong-Osoth, M.D. on the incident accused to be against the SEC Act in relation to the trading of shares in Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited (BA).

 

At the present, BDMS has not received any letter from the SEC on the vacating of these persons from the positions of director and executive, but has been informed by Mr. Prasert and Ms. Poramaporn that they will pursue to prove their innocence in this matter through the justice system. Nevertheless, in view of the good corporate governance, both of them tendered their resignations from the positions effective from January 21, 2019.

Mr. Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth has resigned from the position of Director, Group Chief Executive Officer and President, and Chairman of Executive Committee. While Ms. Poramaporn Prasarttong-Osoth has signed from the position of Director, Member of Executive Committee, Member of Risk Management Committee, and Chief Operating Officer.
