RATCH Signs for ฿7bln. Loan in the Construction & Dev. of 275MW Power Plant in Indonesia

RATCH has signed for a ฿7 billion loan agreement from four financial institutes for the construction and development of Riau Combined-Cycle Power Plant Project in Indonesia.


Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited (RATCH) has reported that the company has signed a loan agreement and other related financial agreements with four financial institutes namely Asian Development Bank, International Finance Corporation, MUFG Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Bank Corporation. The total loan amount of USD 222 million (approximately THB 7.04 billion) will be used in the construction and development of Riau Combined-Cycle Power Plant Project which is expected to commence the operating in 2021.

Riau Combined-Cycle Power Plant Project is a 275 MW power plant in the Republic of Indonesia with a 20-year power purchase agreement with the Republic of Indonesia’s electricity authority, PT PLN (PERSERO), through PT Medco Ratch Power Riau (an indirect joint venture that RATCH held a 49% stake through RH International (Singapore) Corporation Pte. Limited.)
