TRUE-ADVANC Gain 4% and 1%, DTAC Tumbles in Worry of Higher Installment Next Year!


The share price of True Corporation Public Company Limited (TRUE) and Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (ADVANC) see a sharp gain on June 19, 2019, after both telecommunication providers have been reportedly submitted the application for 700MHz spectrum allocation to NBTC early this morning.

As of 10:50 local time in Thailand, TRUE gained as much as ฿0.25/share, rose 4.71% to ฿5.55/share while ADVANC added ฿2.00/share to its share price, increased 1.01% to ฿201.0/share.

However, the share price of Total Access Communication Public Company Limited (DTAC) plunged as much as ฿1.25/share, slid 2.4% to ฿50.75/share. DTAC is also the telecommunication provider that submitted the same application as TRUE and ADVANC in the morning. An opposite movement from other two providers could be a worry of investors on the submitting for 700MHz spectrum allocation after the company requested NBTC for an extension of an installment of 900MHz. In exchange, DTAC must participate in the allocation of 700MHz.

DTAC who acquired the 900MHz spectrum with an investment of THB 40,729 million, which to be paid THB 4,301 million in 2018, THB 2,151 million in 2020-2021, and THB 32,126 million in 2022. With the installment extension, the 4th installment of TRUE will be extended by five more years. DTAC will change its payment from settling THB 2,151 million in 2020-2021 to be THB 7,917 million in 2020, and THB 4,073 million from 2021-2027.
