Asia Stocks Face Volatility as the Fight against the Coronavirus Outbreak Continue.


Stocks in Asia were volatile and traded mostly lower on Wednesday morning after a two-day rally earlier this week, while the battle against coronavirus continued.

 

Nikkei gained 0.43%, SSEC dipped 0.57%, HSI plunged 1.08%, ASX 200 slipped 0.49% and Kospi fell 0.21%.

Over the night, Dow Jones closed 26 points lower or 0.1%, gave up a gain of 900 points in the early session. S&P 500 and Nasdaq also fell 0.2% and 0.3%, respectively.

 

Countries around the world continued their fight against the coronavirus pandemic which infected more than 1.4 million people and killed 81,000 lives globally.
