“Kasikorn” Expects Covid-19 Resurgence to Diminish Domestic-Travelling Revenue by ฿5.8Bn.


Kasikorn Research Center estimated that the resurgence of the coronavirus outbreak in Thailand will diminish the opportunity for revenue generation from domestic travelling during the new year’s holiday worth around 5,850 million baht or 58.4% of Thailand’s proportion of income during the 4-day holiday during the new year without the resurgence.

 

The firm reported that 54.8% of Bangkokers said they would not travel out of town during the holiday, according to the poll. Out of the group mentioned before, 40.7% said that they cancelled their plans due to the resurgence of the coronavirus. Meanwhile, 14.3% said that they are waiting to see the development of the situation, including the government’s measures.
