CKP Reports an Increase of Recurring NP by 110% in Response to a Full-Year Recognition of Electricity Operation and Sales from XPCL.
CK Power Public Company Limited (CKP) has reported its yearly consolidated financial statement of 2020 through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;
CKP reported a net profit of 404 million baht in 2020, decreased 47.36% from a net profit of 768 million baht in 2019. However, recurring net profit at 404 million baht in 2020 increased by 212.7 million baht or 110.8% compared to the 2019 recurring net profit, which excluded a one-time foreign exchange gain from XPCL in 4Q19.
The YoY increase in 2020 net profit was driven by higher share of profit from investment in XPCL following a full year of electricity operation and sales in 2020, while in 2019, XPCL only started its commercial operation at the end of October 2019.
In addition, the Board of Directors approved a dividend payment of ฿0.035/share to be paid on May 17, 2021. The ex-dividend date is April 26, 2021.
