Thailand’s November Exports Fall 7.39%, Imports Slump 13.78% with $548m Trade Surplus.


Thailand’s exports in November 2019 fell by 7.39% when compared to the same period of last year while falling 4.54% last month, reported the Ministry of Commerce on December 23, 2019.

The plummet of exports data in November was below a forecast from Reuters poll which expected a decrease of 4.5%. Shipments to the U.S. fell 2.6% while shipments to China increase 2.3% in November.

Meanwhile, imports slumped 13.78% when compared to the same period of last year, worse than a drop of 6.8% from Reuters poll, after falling 7.57 last month.

The trade surplus in November was at $548 million.
