NEWS Officially Announce the Decision to Return TV License to NBTC!

News Network Corporation Public Company Limited (NEWS) has announced the resolution of its Board of Directors’ meeting on May 9, 2019 to return the the license for usage of frequency and conduct of television business, to provide terrestrial television in digital system, in the category of news and academic program (Television License) with remaining of 9 years 10 months term to The National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC).

 

In addition, the Company considers the value in case that NEWS returns Television License and the value under discounted cash flow approach in case that NEWS does not return Television License until expiration of Television License. The value in case that NEWS returns Television License is THB 949.70 million, while the value under discounted cash flow approach in case that the company does not return Television License is THB (328.47) million.

Therefore, value in case that NEWS returns Television License is THB 1,278.17 million higher than value under discounted cash flow approach in case that NEWS does not return Television License.
