At 9:40 local time in Thailand, Nikkei fell 125.33 points or 0.59% to 21,025.81 points. ASX 200 plunged 46.50 points or 0.72% to 6,445.30 points. Kospi dipped 12.03 points or 0.58% to 2,047.56 points. However, HSI was able to regain its stance, rebounded 97.35 points or 0.36% to 2,7364.48 points while SSEC traded almost flat with a gain of 0.99 points or 0.03% at 2,853.51 points.

 

Dow Jones closed the day at 25,490.47 points, plunged 286.14 points or 1.11%. The lowest of the day was 25,328.09 points and the highest was 25,657.99 points. Meanwhile, Dow Jones Future as of 9:22 local time in Thailand was at 25,537.0 points, gained 74.0 points or 0.29%.

S&P 500 closed at 2,822.24 points, sank 34.03 points or 1.19%. The lowest of the day was 2,805.49 points and the highest was 2,836.70 points. Nasdaq closed at 7,628.28 points, fell 122.56 points or 1.58%. The lowest of the day was 7,585.32 points and the highest was 7,665.15 points.

VIX rose 2.17 points or 14.71% to 16.92 points.

 

Brent crude futures sank $3.35, or 4.7%, to $67.64 per barrel around 2:20 p.m. ET (1820 GMT). Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures settled $3.51 lower at $57.91 per barrel, tumbling 5.7% to the lowest closing price since March 12.

 

For the European markets, FTSE 100 closed the day at 7,228.07 points, dipped 106.12 points or 1.45%. The lowest was 7,209.75 points, plunged 124.44 points or 1.69% while the highest was 7,306 points.

DAX closed the day at 11,944.91 points, dipped 223.83 points or 1.84%. The lowest was 11,925.71 points, plunged 243 points or 1.99% while the highest was 12,079.21 points.

CAC closed the day at 11,944.91 points, dipped 223.83 points or 1.84%. The lowest was 5,272.78 points, plunged 106.19 points or 1.97% while the highest was 5,340.38 points.
