10 Companies in a Race for ฿30bn Cake of Underground Wire Project!

In the upcoming bidding on the Metropolitan Electricity Authority’s 114.9 kilometers underground wire project worth THB 30 billion, there are 10 potential listed companies to participate in the bidding for this huge cake.

4) Arrow Syndicate Public Company Limited (ARROW)

5) Communication and System Solution Public Company Limited (CSS)

6) Charoong Thai Wire & Cable Public Company Limited (CTW)

7) ALT Telecom Public Company Limited (ALT)

8) Interlink Communication Public Company Limited (ILINK)

9) C.I.Group Public Company Limited (CIG)

10) Samart Telcoms Public Company Limited (SAMTEL)

Mr. Kirapat Jiamset, Governor of MEA has made an update on the progress of the project, stating that of all 214.6 kilometers of the underground wire project with a total value of THB 50 billion, MEA has finished the work of 45.6 kilometers underground wire while the remaining 54.1 kilometers are under construction.

In the second half of 2019, MEA will open for a bidding to find a contractor to complete the remaining of 114.9 kilometers of the underground wire project with an investment around THB 30 billion. The winner is expected to be announced within this year while the project is expected to be completed by 2021.
