GULF Inks the Deal with Vietnam’s PM for 6,000MW Natural Gas PP, Stepping to LNG Trading

Vietnam's Priminister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the signing ceremony between GULF and the President of Ninh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee for the development of an integrated LGN-to-Power project with 6,000 MW capacity.


On November 2, 2019, the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce Mr. Tran Tuan Anh attended, as a witness, the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement for the development of an integrated LGN-to-Power project in Ca na, Ninh Thuan Province, Vietnam, between the President of Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited (GULF) Mrs. Porntipa Chinvetkitvanit and the President of Ninh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee Mr. Luu Xuan Vinh.

The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Cheep Jullamon, former President of the Supreme Court and the President of the Advisory Board of GULF, Mr. Viset Choopiban, former Ministry of Energy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of GULF as a witness for the feasibility study of a natural gas power plant with a total installed capacity of 6,000 MW as well as the LNG terminal to support the solid growth in Ninh Thuan Province, southeast region of Vietnam.

In addition, GULF’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ratthaphol Cheunsomchit had stated earlier that the company planned to invest in the construction of LNG power plant with a total installed capacity of 6,000 MW in Vietnam as well as further the business to LNG trading business.
