BPP Invests JPY1,143M in Virtual Power Plant and Energy Trading in Japan

Banpu Public Company Limited (BANPU) announced that its subsidiary Banpu Power Public Company Limited (BPP) has singed share purchase agreement to invest JPY1,143 million in Global Engineering Co., Ltd.(Global), a leading power retailer headquartered in Fukuoka, Japan, through its 100% owned subsidiary, Banpu Renewable Singapore Pte. Ltd. (BRS)

The investment equivalent to 19.90% of Global represents a further expansion of BPP’s engagement in Virtual Power Plant (VPP) and Energy trading business as platform for efficient future power consumption  

Furthermore, BPP and Global as well plan to work for providing demand management solutions in South East Asia.
