ACE Commences the Operation of Krabi’s Solid Waste PPs with a Total Capacity of 6MW

Absolute Clean Energy Public Company Limited (ACE) announced that on 28 th December 2020 Alliance Clean Power Company Limited (ALCP), a subsidiary in which the Company indirectly holds 100% shares successfully achieved Commercial Operation Date (COD) of its Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Power Plant in Krabi Municipality, Krabi Province with installed capacity of 6 MW and 4.4 MW Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) under Feed-in Tariff (FiT) scheme which will be valid until 31st December 2039 with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA). Aforementioned COD is ahead of the original schedule which expected to achieve COD within the first quarter of 2021. 

 

Currently, the Company has 36 power plant projects inclusive of Krabi MSW Power Plant with total installed capacity of 449.57 MW which are comprising 19 already COD projects with total installed capacity of 245.91 MW and 17 under development projects with total installed capacity of 203.66 MW. 

 

Regarding 2 biomass power plants that have already been in commercial operation with total installed capacity of 9.5 MW and 7.5 MW, locate at Tambol Donmon, Amphur Satuek, Buriram Province, and operated by the Company’s indirect subsidiaries which its shares has been purchased and transferred from UA Withya Public Company Limited (i.e., Advance Bio Energy Co., Ltd. (ABE) (formally known as UWC Amphan Biomass Co., Ltd.) and Satuek Biomass Co., Ltd. (SBM) respectively), currently the improvement of both biomass power plants’ machinery has been completed as planned. 

 

ABE has already resumed its biomass power plant to generate and sell electricity to PEA, according to PPA under FiT scheme since 24th December 2020, while SBM has already resumed its biomass power plant to generate and sell electricity to PEA, according to PPA under Adder scheme since 23 rd December 2020 and now are preparing to sell electricity to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), according to a new PPA under FiT scheme, instead of the original PPA under Adder scheme that was previously made with PEA. It is expected to sell electricity to EGAT within January 2021.
