U.K. Gives a Green Light to AstraZeneca’s Covid Vaccine to Roll Out Next Week!


The U.K. approved the AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford’s coronavirus vaccine for emergency use to fight the pandemic that already took 71,567 lives in the kingdom.

The doses are expected to be rolled out as soon as next week and would be added to the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine which has so far been given to 600,000 people in the kingdom. In the statement, AstraZeneca expected to supply a million doses within the first quarter of next year.

 

The coronavirus has infected nearly 2.4 million people in the U.K. with  71,567 fatalities. Worldwide, the virus has infected 82.3 million people with nearly 1.8 million deaths.

 

Thailand on November 27, 2020 signed a 6,000 million baht purchase agreement for the purchase of 26 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine with AstraZeneca following the Cabinet’s resolution on November 17, 2020.

The doses would cover 13 million people which expected the vaccine will be available in Thailand in mid-2021.
