Stocks in Asia continue to fluctuate on Wednesday as U.S. 10-year bond yield rose to a 14-month high at 1.776% during the session, but edged lower to close flat.
As of 9:15 local time in Thailand on March 31, 2021, Nikkei slipped 0.63%, SSEC dipped 0.83%, HSI rose 0.26%, ASX 200 jumped 1.82% and Kospi advanced 0.46%.
Last night, Dow Jones decreased 0.31% to close at 33,066.96 points. S&P 500 dropped 0.3% and Nasdaq fell 0.11%.
Yesterday, SET Index closed at 1,589.53 points, increased 5.64 points or 0.36% with a trading value of 107 billion baht.
Asia Plus Securities (ASPS) expected the Thai stock market to continue to edge higher from the fund inflow that buoyed SET Index higher yesterday. Meanwhile, there are no positive factors to drive the market. On the other hand, there are no negative factors to drag the market down as well.
The analyst advised investors to monitor the OPEC+ meeting tomorrow, giving a support level at 1,580 points and a resistance level at 1,600 points.
