UOB Kay Hian’s “Kitpon” Recommends to Speculate Laggard, Seeing Surge in Finance Sector

Mr. Kitpon Praipaisarnkit, a strategist of UOB Kay Hian, stated that the surge on yesterday’s trading session was due to the positive sentiment of global market during the holiday in Thailand that made a buying pressure to return to the market while the SET Index today will move in a narrow gap to align with how other major indices in Asia progress.

Mr. Kitpon also asserted that the share prices of the Thai energy sector are still lower than the average price of global’s energy shares at 9% to 15%, respectively.

The bank sector will start reporting their 1Q financial statement, seeing BBL and TISCO as the best performers while small caps shares such as AAV, PF can be speculated for the next few weeks before the announcement of their financial statements.
Moreover, the finance sector may see a surge as the sector is expected to rise amid all cutting expectation in other sectors which was the reason for the jump of SAWAD and MTC yesterday.
