“King Power” beats ROH by a small margin to acquire duty-free concession for the three regional airports (Phuket, Hat Yai and Chiang Mai).
On June 7, 2019, reporter has stated that the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) has revealed that after considering the bidding proposal for three duty-free concessions in Phuket Airport, Hat Yai Airport and Chiang Mai Airport, King Power Duty Free Company Limited has acquired the highest score, thus, making it the operator of duty-free concession in three of Thailand’s airports.
Royal Orchid Hotel (Thailand) Public Company Limited (ROH) is the runner-up in the bidding while the Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited (BA) and Lotte Consortium is the third runner-up.
