Aramco Prices Its IPO at $8.53, Towering Market Valuation to $1.7tn as the Biggest in History!

The state-owned oil giant Saudi Aramco has officially priced its initial public offering (IPO) at 32 riyals ($8.53) per share, which is the biggest IPO in history, raising $25.6 billion and beating Alibaba Group Holding Ltd’s record $25 billion in 2014.

At this price, Aramco would have a market valuation at $1.7 trillion, falling short from an expectation of $2 trillion by the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Aramco will be listed on the Riyadh Stock Exchange which the source close to the matter said that it would be on December 11, 2019.

Aramco’s advisors said they may partly or fully exercise a 15% “greenshoe” option, allowing it to increase the size of the deal to a maximum of $29.4 billion.
