4 Digital TV Shares Soar in Anticipation for Compensation of Recalling 700MHz from NBTC

BEC, MONO, WORK and GRAMMY rose in the morning session in the anticipation of receiving compensation for 700MHz spectrum from NBTC.

The reporter stated that the share price of four digital TV operators, including BEC World Public Company Limited (BEC), Mono Technology Public Company Limited (MONO), Workpoint Entertainment Public Company Limited (WORK), and GMM Grammy Public Company Limited (GRAMMY), had rallied after an anticipation of receiving a compensation for 700MHz spectrum from National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC).

The anticipation is inline with the news of the execution of Article 44 from the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) to extend the 4th installment of 900MHz spectrum for ADVANC, DTAC, and TRUE. Which will allow three telecommunication operators to be able to participate in the upcoming 5G bidding.

In order to initiate the 5G bidding, NBTC has to recall the 700MHz spectrum from operators, which is why BEC, MONO, WORK, and GRAMMY are waiting for the compensation.
