KBANK’s 3Q21 Earnings Jumps 30% on Higher NIM, 9M21 Skyrockets 73%

KBANK reported a net profit of 8,630 million baht in 3Q21, increased 29.23%, mainly due to a rise in net interest margin.


Kasikornbank Public Company Limited (KBANK) has announced its 3Q21 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

KBANK reported a net profit of 8,630 million baht in 3Q21, increased 29.23% from a net profit of 6,678 million baht in 3Q20. The increase was mainly due to an increase in net interest income in the quarter by 12% from 27,255 million baht to 30,741 million baht. Net interest margin rose from 3.17% in 3Q20 and 3.22% in 2Q21 to 3.23% in this quarter.

However, expected credit loss increased from 10,815 million baht in 3Q20 to 11,296 million baht in 3Q21. As of 30 September 2021, NPL gross to total loans stood at 3.85%, while at the end of 2020 this stood at 3.93% at 3.95% at the end of second quarter this year.
